Blurb:

I bask in their tears. I want to hear them beg. And watching them crawl feeds my desire. ⁣

My proclivities would make most submissives balk. But a chance encounter with a beautiful stranger leaves me wanting something I never thought I would ever want—a second taste.

It’s dangerous, but I’m willing to risk everything for more of the woman built for sin.⁣

She’s my wicked sin, and I’m not giving her up now. ⁣

My 4* Review:

Wicked Sins by Dani Rene is the first book in her new series Secrets In Blood. A mafia, age-gap, romance between Franco Moretti and Raina Lombardi. It is a dark and steamy tale with BDSM themes interwoven with family secrets, lies and betrayal. The thriller part makes it an exciting read as you try and work out who are the real baddies in the story.

Franco is a powerful, ruthless but cold mafia boss who enjoys the violence which comes with the job. If there is something or someone he wants, he does whatever he needs to and doesn’t stop until he gets the right result, no mercy or second chances. He loves the BDSM lifestyle as it is a good outlet for his anger which he usually keeps restrained. One evening a call from his cousin Lucio asking for help, ends up to him agreeing to a request that has far reaching consequences.

Raina knows her father works with dangerous men but tries to keep it hidden from her. He has made sure she’s never in danger but she wants some adventure in her life. When she was younger she found out the Lombardi name is connected to Nostra and her family is known for their hidden truths and wicked sins. She has an older brother Andrea, but they don’t get on, and he has embraced the mafia way of life. She has found out some of her father’s secrets but she has secrets of her own. She wants to escape and thinks she has finally found a way to get out but everything changes after her father goes to an important meeting and a series of events change her life forever.

When Franco finally meets Raina, he is surprised and shocked at the instant attraction to her. He doesn’t want the distraction of a woman and refuses to have a relationship due to his past. However, he can’t stop thinking about her and has to consider if he can risk everything for her because she would be his weakness and a target for his enemies. He promised to protect her but she is proving to be exactly what he needs.

The chemistry between this couple is raw passion and lust. She is a sassy and feisty woman who knows what she wants and quickly realises Franco can give her exactly what she desires. We find out about the secrets she has been hiding and the darkness she thoroughly enjoys.

As the story unfolds we found out there is so much more involved. There is revenge, betrayal, lost love and murder. The secrets the characters have are slowly exposed and the history between all the families is revealed. I really liked Franco’s twin brothers Giovanni and Matteo, and look forward to what happens next for the Moretti family because this is only the start of what is looking like a very intriguing series.
