My 5* Review:

Warped Minds is an action packed and thrilling ending to Elena Lawson’s Boys Of Briar Hall series. This is much darker and more violent than the previous books so be warned, but if you have read the previous books then you will know what to expect.

It is fast paced with lots of twists that you never know what is going to happen next. After the explosive ending to Twisted Games which left all three boys fighting for their lives and AJ’s stalker capturing her, I wondered who was going to survive and who wouldn’t. An absolutely fantastic conclusion – enjoy!!

Losing AJ has a considerable impact on all three boys and while they are desperate to find her, they are also desperately trying to battle their inner demons. The author takes us inside their minds so we can see what all four are thinking and how they are coping with the events. We get to see their insecurities and vulnerable sides. Ava Jade is the glue that keeps them all grounded and without her everything just slowly falls apart. Each boy is affected differently by the trauma her stalker has inflicted on them, we watch them fight for her but also against the anguish they are going through.

Will Rook fall back into his addiction now that his Ghost has gone?

Can Corvus keep the darkness inside him without his Shadow?

How will Grey managed with what has happened to him without her by his side?

Every time they think they have a clue to help them find her or reveal the stalker, something happens to let them know he is one step ahead of them all the time.

AJ proves again what a badass she is. She fights the whole time regardless of what she has to endure at the hands of her stalker. Her strength and determination get her through but I think her love for The Crows is what really helps her survive the horrific events she goes through.

Many times the author will have you on the edge of your seat and leave you wondering who will live and who will die. There are lots of OMG moments and times when I really thought we were going to lose someone.  Elena certainly packs a lot into this book and if you had a favourite Crow going into this, then believe me, you won’t be able to choose after this. It is emotional and heart breaking at times but amongst all the blood and gore there are some very intense, passionate and steamy scenes between AJ and her Crows.

The reveal of the Stalker’s identity is a brillant twist and if you have read all of this series you will be amazed at how much influence he has had over their lives without them knowing. All the loose ends are tied together and all the questions about why things where happening are answered.

None of them are related but the sense of brotherhood and family shines through as they all fight to keep each other alive. I am really going to miss these four so the introduction of the Crows cousins ready for the author’s new series was exciting. These two seem quite fun but dangerous characters and after Becca showed what she is made of, I am pleased we will get more of her.
