Heated glances, VIP passes, and groupies galore. Life as a rockstar is an endless party, with no consequences…Or is it?

This limited edition collection of stories show just what happens in and out of the spotlight’s glare, proving that when it comes to romance, these rockstars are not quite as tough as they would have you believe.

My Reviews For Rock My World Anthology:

1. Blurring The Lines By Amy Kaybach :

This is a prequel to the Blind Rebels rockstar romance series by Amy Kaybach. If you have read that series then you will have already met this band and seen how they have recovered from the devastation they endured. You will have some idea of what happened to them but now we find out the full story of how their downfall came about due to one woman.

They are on a sell out tour with Diminished Capacity when we first meet Becka. She and her friend Kasey, have back stage passes to the concert. Becka is a calculating and manipulative woman who has plans to get exactly what she wants regardless of the consequences. She is desperate to be with a rockstar and she doesn’t care who it is, as long as they write songs about her and she becomes infamous. Mav is the lead singer of Blind Rebels and unfortunately falls for her when he finds her crying back stage. He is very attracted to her so invites her onto their tour bus and the games begin.

“Rocker one bagged. Now, it’s just a matter of who to try for next. I’m going to get a song written about me.”

I felt sorry for the guys as they all have issues and she uses this to exploit their vulnerabilities. Callum is struggling with the tour and has started taking drugs. His twin brother Killian hasn’t recovered from his awful childhood and is with a different woman every night. Sammy, the drummer, is still grieving for his sister and feels guilty for not realising what she was going through. After weeks on the road, it all comes to a head as they play at Madison Square Garden.

The band’s name is very appropriate for what happens in this story because they are all blind to what is going on. The author cleverly makes you question her motives so at times you will think she’s genuine and then hate her with a vengeance. I couldn’t make my mind up if she was acting alone or if there were others helping her execute her plans. This will certainly make you want to read the series to find out how the guys are doing.

2. Rock-a-Bye-Baby By Linda Marie Pankow :

A story about the members of the band My Stunning Romance and their complex interconnections. MF, MMF, FF scenes included in this childhood sweethearts, sexual awakening, bisexuality and a throuple relationship romance. It’s about accepting who you are and exploring all the possibilities.

The prologue introduces us to Chris, Juliana (Jules), Mitre, Jessie, Hemming and his twin Arvid. They all live together and are about to embark on their first tour. Jules is the only woman in the band and has been dating Chris for five years. She loves him but for the last year they have been in an open relationship because she wanted to make sure he was the one. He loves her and knows they belong together so at first he’s surprised by her request. He can’t lose her so agrees to let her explore her sexuality even if it means he has to share her with others.

The story goes back a year to when the band played their first concert. We learn about the other band members and how they all got together. We get the back history to the couple’s relationship and all the traumatic events Jules has experienced while they’ve been together.

Then the story jumps back to the present and Jules admitting she likes the other band members. Chris knows she fancies Mitre but doesn’t mind sharing her with him because he likes him too. He knows he will always be there for her no matter what they decide. Will the band stay just friends or will they explore all possibilities even if others think it wrong.

Their story ends on her eighteenth birthday with more decisions made and revelations. This was an interesting look at different types of relationships but I found it didn’t flow well and was confusing in places so it spoilt my enjoyment of their story.

3. Wild Night By Loriana Cappello:

This is an intriguing romance between two singers. They have an instant connection but it looks like a case of right person but the wrong time. A very enjoyable short story and if you have read her Strings Attached book about the band Koolum Law, then you will recognise Dani, the Election Records PA.

Beau, Dylan, Milo, Harry and Syd make up the very popular band Wild Mason. Beau Mason is the lead vocalist and the epitome of a rock god, charismatic, handsome and sexy. Cassidy Rye is a young up and coming singer who meets them when they were looking for a female vocalist to collaborate with on a track for their new album.

The chemistry between Beau and Cass sparks to life as they record the duet. She is so attracted to him and would love for something to happen but knows she isn’t in a position to start anything. Then to put a damper on things she learns he has a girlfriend when she nearly catches them kissing one evening. The band invite her back to record another track and things sizzle between them again. They kiss a second time but she quickly realises he is a big flirt and it is all a game to him.

Her career explodes when they film the video for the single and everyone wants to know if their on screen connection is real or pretend. The gossip about a romantic link between them gathers momentum when her first single does well. How can she still work with the band when she has fallen for Beau?

A year later he is to accompany her to an award ceremony. Things are awkward when he confronts her over her personal life. Anger and hurt, accusations and regrets as they battle their feelings for each other. Events at the award ceremony bring it all to a head. Will he admit how much he wants her or has he blown his chance.

A great surprise at the end leaves us with a little cliffhanger as everything is about to change for them. Really looking forward to seeing what happens next and if they be able to sort everything out and find a way to be together.  A 5* read.

4. Blue Suede Shoes By Jaycee Wolfe:

A sweet and steamy insta love story with a very satisfying HEA. For Dillon it is love at first sight but Allison takes a little more convincing.

Ali is a successful business owner but to her father she is a disappointment. He never lets her forget she wouldn’t do as he wanted and follow in his footsteps as a lawyer. Luckily, she has a great relationship with her Uncle Drake, his twin brother, who protects and looks after her, refusing to let her dad make her miserable. When her dad tries to force her into an arranged marriage, Drake comes to her rescue.

Dillon Prescott, is the lead singer of Obnoxious Allies. He and the band have enjoyed a wild time as rockstars but recently he has become disillusioned with the lifestyle. The press have been hounding him and the rumours have got out of control as they try to ruin his reputation and career. The latest episode leaves Dillon feeling broken and annoyed. Drake is their manager and devises a plan for a fake girlfriend to hopefully stop anymore false gossip.

Dillon doesn’t know his fake date is Drake’s niece and things don’t go well when they first meet. He is angry and fed up so thinks she is a groupie. She stands up for herself and puts him in his place. He compares her to a tiny feisty hellcat so calls her Ali cat. At the press conference to announce their relationship, he is hilarious with his comments and actions to make them believe it.

Plenty of playful banter and the best kiss of her life when she agrees to his deal and goes on tour with them. Their connection quickly deepens and what started as fake begins to feel very real.

He wants to show how he feels so arranges a private first date which leads to them both hoping for a future together. He is so romantic and totally in love with her but worries if she could cope with the drama that comes with his life, the press and the groupies.

The band welcome her and they become the family she has always wanted. After an unfortunate incident, she is hurt and feeling betrayed but Dillon does everything he can to convince her that he is the one for her. Once back on tour luckily for the couple one stop is Vegas. A lovely ending with fantastic news for the couple in the epilogue.

5. Guitarist of the Year by Kella Campbell:

A short but sweet story about Blade and Crys. You will already know this couple if you have read the author’s Smidge series which is all about the band. They are attending the Rockstars Ball Music Awards and he is up for Guitarist of the Year. He doesn’t think he will win or that he even deserves the accolade.

His band Smidge, is also playing so he is suffering from his usual stage fright. He wishes he was anywhere else but has no choice but to attend.

His recovery from a heroin addiction has been hard but he has been clean for over five years, however, he struggles at times like these. Luckily his wife is good at distracting him and soothing his demons. We hear how they first met, how she has stood by him and become an unbreakable team.

He suffers from anxiety and stressful events causes his temper to appear which isn’t helped when a social media influencer baits him. Things escalate and cause problems for Blade but the band have his back as usual and everything ends on a very happy note. A fun little twist to finish the story and a romantic look back on how grateful he was to find his fairytale HEA with Crys.

6. Heal Me Duet: Part 1 by Pippa Langhorn:

This is an intense, complex and fascinating romance story that ends on a cliffhanger. It is a will they, won’t they – who will she choose situation between Caitlin and two members of her brother’s band. It follows them on tour and the complicated relationships that develop. We see her having to cope with both sides of all the guys, while battling her growing feelings and the stress of keeping them in order as their manager.

Caitlin gets an emergency call from her brother Mark who needs some help with his band. She is shocked because he has always kept that side of his life from her and she had never meet any of the members of Brotherhood Of Jade. They are sex, drugs and rock and roll personified, with stage names and personas to hide the real men behind the facade. As she exits the lift to the hotel suite, she receives an unexpected but amazing kiss from one of them, not realising who she is. Although she’s never had any interest in the band, she does know who is who but she wasn’t expecting her reaction to a couple of the handsome specimens in front of her.

Riley Shepherd aka Axel is the front man and guitarist. He is the British womaniser and bad boy with the velvet voice. He is cocky, arrogant and every woman thinks they will be the one to change him. The press call him ‘Broken Axel’ after one of his binges nearly broke the band up.

Caleb Rose aka Rosie is the quiet and brooding Irishman with a smile to die for. He plays the guitar and is known as the Silken Rose’ as his voice pure silk. He is very desirable with his seductive and sultry ways but has a dangerous side as a tortured soul hiding behind a lovable perfection.

Gareth Daley aka Gare is an adorable Welshman, nice but a bit weird. He is the drummer and constantly changes the colour of his hair. A sweet guy but full of mischief.

Mark Buckingham aka Bucky is Caitlin’s older brother. He plays bass and keeps the band together.. A Brit who grew up in Australia, he lives the typical rockstar lifestyle but she worries the effect it is having on him.

Axel had slept with their manager who then found him in bed with someone else so walked out. Mark wants her to be their manager for the month left of their tour but warns the guys to keep their hands off his sister. Caitlin realises very quickly if she is going to help, then she will have to control herself around these incredibly sexy men. This was an intriguing and engrossing read and I can’t wait for part two. A great 5* way to end the anthology.
